Electroless Nickel Plating

Electroless Nickel Plating is the deposition of a nickel alloy onto a metal substrate without the use of an electrical current. The electroless nickel plating process utilizes a chemical reaction to produce a reliable, repeatable deposit of uniform thickness. This uniformity of the deposit can, in some cases, eliminate the need for post-plate grinding. Electroless nickel demonstrates excellent corrosion protection, with lubricity properties similar to plated chromium. Electroless nickel can effectively coat parts with sharp edges, deep recesses, seams, threads, and complex geometries. Electroless nickel can be applied over a variety of substrates including, aluminum, copper, brass, steel, stainless steel, and nickel base alloys. Electroless nickel is used in a variety of industries including, aerospace, automotive, chemical, electronics, marine, medical, oil/gas, printing, and textile.
